Senior Project Manager – Energy & Performance Services

Our Energy & Performance Services (EPS) GB is orchestrating growth in the grid edge market where energy efficient and connected buildings meet the evolving grid environment.

We help customers to reduce their energy consumption, to become more sustainable and to be more resilient in terms of energy supply.

As our Senior Project Manager, you will develop and execute projects that are technology agnostic and therefore the opportunity requires the ability and appetite to work with all kinds of products and solutions. Typical projects are within the vertical markets of Universities, Industry and Local Authorities.

We are now looking for a future thinking PM with solid track record in designing, developing and leading complex projects according to defined PM standards and customer requirements with end-to-end responsibility for economic results, quality, schedule and EHS.

The location for the Project Manager can be flexible, the EPS GB team are dispersed across the country, however, the ability for regular travel to Birmingham and London is essential.

As our Senior Project Manager, you will lead our Customer Requirements, always treating customer satisfaction as a priority.

You will ensure efficient and effective Project Management and execution processes and their standardized deployment ensuring adherence to defined and agreed processes and commercial standards and guidelines

  • Takes care for effective risk management measures for projects in execution
  • Ensures effective cooperation with partners; clarifies organizational issues
  • Drives own empowerment with adequate signature authorization and target agreement to manage the project as entrepreneur
  • Stands for overall responsibility on project results based on strategic priorities and set goals (e.g. budget, quality, schedule, EHS)
  • Manage the project throughout the project Life Cycle until final acceptance (FAC)
  • Develop strategies for the project and beyond:
  • Lead project finances
  • Run project team
  • Manage stakeholders
  • Manage risk, contract and claims
  • Handle compliance to standards, rules and regulations

The PM is supported by the assigned Commercial Project Manager and maintains a close collaboration with them. The ability to distil sophisticated issues into succinct and easily understood language that conveys key messages successfully at all levels of the organisation would be a key element for this role.

We are looking for an innovate, customer focused Project manager with extensive experience in Project Implementation and execution with full responsibility for the results.

You will work with multiple subcontractors, vendors and internal partners to ensure projects a on time and in budget. Experience within the areas of HVAC, Lighting, BEMS, Generation, Storage and IoT connectivity is critical.

As the Senior PM, you will be accountable for Controlling and Sustaining the Financial Result, Strategic Management and Business Planning, Early Involvement and Supplier Integration, Claim Management, Techniques and Methods of Risk Management and experience of the CDM regulations including Principal Designer and Principal Contractor.

Ideally, you will have a professional project management accreditation (Prince2, PMP), with a passion for development, coaching, leadership, and teamwork.
