As our Quality Manager in Projects you will operationally support project management as an expert and partner by planning, supervising, ensuring and reporting of appropriate activities with regard to failure prevention, progress of effective measures (pro-active & re-active) and continuous improvements over the entire project management process through both project acquisition and execution.
What you will be doing
Verify and monitor proper fulfilment of contractual and committed requirements through internal process audits and completion of readiness checks for quality gates.
Act as primary interface with our clients for all quality related issues and manage feedback initially via the and then through the relevant project specific communication channels. This also includes the effective management of Client complaints.
Compile and maintain a project quality plan in accordance with ISO 10005 / 10006. The overall impact should be pro-active and failure preventive, but re-active aspects should also be considered (e.g. non-conformance handling
Undertake internal process audits of key project activities to verify adherence to the Siemens Mobility Quality Management System PM@Siemens and supporting processes and procedures.
Support the project management in the planning and securing of quality dependent milestone results in the execution phase of the project.
Act as facilitator and project related expert of quality measures related to third parties (i.e. suppliers), where necessary utilizing the assistance of both internal and external technical assistance.
What you will need to be successful
Experience working in a large project, manufacturing based organization.
Detailed knowledge and suitable qualifications in Quality processes, standards and improvement techniques.
Strong experience in the lean manufacturing environment
Experience working as a quality assurance / control advisor in a large project multi disciplinary environment involving complex systems and products with complex supply chain and processes
Detailed knowledge of state of the art quality requirements, systems, tools , processes and requirements suitable for a project organization and site operational activities.
Knowledge of the quality requirements and standards for large-scale fabrications would be desirable including sophisticated electrical/ electronic assembly, microcontrolled devices, electromechanical systems, welding, adhesives, and finishing systems.
10 years of highly engineered, complex electro-mechanical systems 10 years of progressively higher quality engineering/ management positions/ experience
BS or MS in Engineering discipline
We would be impressed if you had:
Rail Manufacturing experience
Qualified QMS Auditor (ISO9001; 2008).
American Society for Quality Certified Manager of Quality and/ or Certified Quality Engineer
