The Siemens Digital Industries – Food & Beverage Vertical is searching for a Corporate Account Manager (CAM) to lead and purposefully expand our footprint within key Food & Beverage enterprise client and the associated supply chain. As an executive sales professional the CAM will be viewed as a “best in class” account manager who will lead Siemens into the next decade of success with our ever-expanding Digital Enterprise portfolio.

In this position:

In this role you are responsible for the development, exploitation, and maximization of the global account penetration and profitable growth of the assigned account. He/she represents Siemens in all sales/strategic activities and acts as interface between the customer and the Siemens organization (HQ, Divisions and Regions).

You will also be responsible for profitable growth of the assigned Key Account for the represented Siemens organizations (Divisions, BUs, Segments). You will have the opportunity to act as interface between the Key Customer and the Siemens organization. As the advocate for the Key Customer’s interests, you will be encouraged to show a personal long-term dedication for his/her Key Customer (5-7 years). The CAM is the central point of contact for the Divisions, BU’s and Segments for the selected multinational Key Account.

This is a key role within the Vertical Food & Beverage team and therefore, responsible for global business relationships. In this role you will be responsible to establish, develop and maintain a successful and mutually conducive relationship with the C-level of one of Siemens’ most significant customers. Additionally, you will coordinate international sales staff members. This individual will need to be accustomed to working with a CRM tool for account planning, opportunity tracking, financial tracking /forecasting, and overall account coordination. Candidates for this role must have experience working with extended teams across a diverse geography. This position reports to the Head of the Food & Beverage group.

You will need to evaluate the customers market and analyze their business targets & strategy, issues, needs, processes, value chain and key business drivers and efficiently transfer this knowledge to the Siemens organizations and Regions. Focus on and pursue strategic business opportunities with the Key Customer by coordinating the activities of the involved Divisions and Regions. Represent the customer to the Siemens organizations and ensure a unified approach across Divisions and Regions towards the customer. Develop a unified 3-5-year key account strategy based on the strategic goals of the customer and market knowledge with the relevant Siemens organizations. Align the Siemens business planning of the respective Siemens organizations with the strategic goals of the customer.

Build/maintain balanced global relationships with the appropriate customer’s decision makers. Facilitate and plan relationships on executive and senior levels with the customer’s and Siemens’ management. Build and lead the global CAM team with members of all relevant Siemens organizations to develop business with the customer & meet the common goal: Profitable growth for Siemens.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:
  • More than 7 years Account Management/Senior Sales and related management experience with a track record of successful performance (new orders), preferably in the relevant industry / market.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in leading sophisticated projects/customers optimally.
  • Team Leader: Able to lead and empower people optimally, preferably with experience as a manager of a team in an international environment.
  • Able to empower individuals from multiple cultures and backgrounds.
  • University degree in engineering or business administration or other relevant subject area or other suitable education.
  • Executive Level Presence / Communication & Strong Presentation Skills
  • Local and International Travel: 40-50%
