Siemens is looking for a Regional Account Manager for our Food & Beverage Division and the location is flexible!
The Siemens Industry – Food & Beverage Vertical is searching for a Regional Account Manager (RAM) to lead and purposefully expand our footprint within key Food & Beverage customers and the associated supply chain. As an executive sales professional the RAM will be viewed as a “best in class” account manager who will lead Siemens into the next decade of success with our every growing Digital Enterprise portfolio.

In this position:
The RAM is responsible for the development, exploitation and maximization of the Regional account penetration.
You will also be responsible for profitable growth of the assigned Key Account for the represented Siemens organizations (Divisions, BUs, Segments). You will have the opportunity to act as interface between the Key Customer and the Siemens organization and as the advocate for the Key Customer’s interests and shows a personal long-term dedication for his/her Key Customer (5-7 years). In this role you will be the central point of contact for the Divisions, BU’s and Segments for the selected Regional Key Account.
This is a key role within the Siemens Food & Beverage team and is responsible for regional business relationships. You will have the opportunity to lead, establish, develop and maintain a successful and mutually advantageous relationship with the C-level of one of Siemens’ most significant customers. Additionally, you will coordinate international sales staff members. This individual will need to be accustomed to working with a CRM tool for account planning, opportunity tracking, financial tracking /forecasting, and overall account coordination. Candidates for this role must have experience working with extended teams across a diverse geography. This position reports to the Head of the Food & Beverage group.
What you will need to bring:
Are you able to evaluate the customer’s market? You will need to analyze their business targets & strategy, issues, needs, processes, value chain and key business drivers and efficiently transfer this knowledge to the Siemens organizations and Region. Focus on and pursue strategic business opportunities with the Key Customer by coordinating the activities of the involved Divisions and Regions. Represent the customer to the Siemens organizations and ensure a unified approach across Divisions and Regions towards the customer. Develop a unified 3-5 years key account strategy based on the strategic goals of the customer and market knowledge with the relevant Siemens organizations. Align the Siemens business planning of the respective Siemens organizations with the strategic goals of the customer.
Build/maintain balanced global relationships with the appropriate customer’s decision makers. Facilitate and plan relationships on executive and senior levels with the customer’s and Siemens’ management. Build and be responsible for the global RAM team with members of all relevant Siemens organizations to develop business with the customer & meet the common goal: Profitable growth for Siemens.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:
- More than 5 years Key Account Management/Senior Sales and related management experience with a track record of successful performance management experience with a track record of successful performance (new orders), preferably in the relevant industry / market.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in leading sophisticated projects/customers successfully.
- Able to work effectively with individuals from multiple cultures and backgrounds.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (BS in Engineering preferred)
- Executive Level Presence / Communication & Strong Presentation Skills
- Team Leader experience, preferably, experience as a manager of a team in an international environment.
- Travel: 40%
