Job Description

Perform the following routine duties:

  • Operate computerized data entry system (SAP).
  • Record counts of materials/product through a cycle count system or upon request.
  • Unload trucks to receive production and non-production materials, assign lot numbers, and when necessary, apply HMIS labeling, enter production related information into SAP.  Deliver materials as required.  Maintain related documentation.
  • Load trucks to ship production and non-production materials as required.  Maintain related documentation.
  • Deliver and return production materials/product as required to support the production departments.  Verify accuracy of counts and process related documents.  Verify material status if needed.
  • Deliver all non-production material that comes to the site.   Pick up and deliver mail to and from designated locations.
  • Package and ship domestic and export orders, which includes providing weights/dimensions and labeling.
  •  Transport hazardous waste as required.
  • Maintain valid location control information for materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts.
  • Maintain quarantine cage and associated documents.
  • As assigned by supervisor, obtain and prepare samples for QA test and file sample retention as described in written procedures.
  • Maintain 5S standards in working area daily.
  • Any and all work assigned by supervisor

Other Requirements:

  • Must hold valid forklift operators permit.
  • Must be able to write legibly and have basic mathematical skills.

  • Requires use of personal protective equipment. 

  • The Shipping Department shall normally handle all incoming and outgoing materials delivered to them, except those requiring special handling such as very heavy, unbalanced loads requiring rigging.
