Responsible for superior achievement of profit, growth, customer and employee satisfaction goals for the Building Automation Segment. Designs, develops, implements and monitors organizational growth strategic plans for the Automation Solutions and Services businesses. Collaborates with Solutions and Service Portfolio leadership to determine overall, strategy, policy and direction. Works in collaboration with and through the Siemens Smart Infrastructure (SI) Field Organization to ensure strategies are executed through the Zone, Enterprise and Branch office organization. Work in conjunction with Global System House Business Line and Building Products Division to rollout, support and drive life cycle plan of Solutions, Service and Product Sales.
Designs, implements and continuously monitors organizational growth plans to increase revenue, market share and profit margins for the Building Automation Solutions and Service business. Builds automation organization to a profitable level to meet and exceed budgeted and forecasted bookings, revenue and profit margins. Provides business vision and direction, addresses departmental issues and communicates organizational information as needed. Monitors and works in conjunction with Field Operations to ensure all, Order Intake (OI), Revenue and Profit, and other financial targets are met. Collaborates with System House Leadership team and the global Solutions and Service Business Line to determine overall organizational strategy, implementation plan and direction. Maintains and broadens personal contacts with major customers, key engineering and contracting firms and potential customers where position status would be a key factor in a relationship. Provides sales, technical, finance, marketing and management consultation to managers and provides a senior presence and sales assistance in major sales situations. Conducts technical Level of Authority (LOA) for major large projects to assess risks and options to develop winning strategy. Builds and continuously improves a superior organization committed to profitable growth in the automation business and employee satisfaction. Engages and motivates employees to focus on goals and objectives achievement. Ensures appropriate technical training programs in conjunction with Performance Management. Oversees the development and implementation of departmental budgets. In conjunction with Field Operations, develops forecasts and plans for Zones, Areas, and Branches. Oversees and controls automation expenses. Represents Siemens and networks with executive and client leadership at industry associations and professional or community organizations to enhance business image and success. Teams with other business units and divisions to provide total customer solutions in Siemens products and services.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Management or a related field. MBA highly preferred.
- Ten plus years of direct industry experience successfully driving Building Automation business (Distributed Control Systems / general construction / engineering firm).
- Five years of management experience with significant P&L responsibility.
- Proven sales and business development experience.
- Mechanical engineering background.
- Executive level leadership, organizational, negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
- Domestic and International travel is required.
