Assistant Financial Analyst

Job Description

CF R NEA works as a trusted partner to the Siemens business to ensure clean books and records; we are also responsible for executive management reporting in Siemens China in addition to shareholder controlling and controlling for country support functions.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Together with other team members, communicate and collaborate with colleagues in the Business to identify solutions to challenging accounting topics. Help to ensure close collaboration with all necessary experts within the organization to find innovative and effective solutions,
  • Help colleagues to prepare the financial month end closing procedures across a wide range of entities to ensure that reporting requirements are fulfilled
  • Support in the preparation and interpretation of detailed analysis for management reporting purposes
  • Provide support in the management of projects in the department, including e.g. the annual preparation of local GAAP financial statements and the preparation of forecasts
  • Support colleagues with the implementation of new business specific accounting standards (both PRC and Group accounting standard (SFRG)
  • Help to develop and prepare executive presentations, working together with colleagues to develop a clear storyline, also using data visualization techniques if possible
  • Provide support and assistance in collaborating with other specialist departments on a range of cross-functional topics in the Finance area, including M&A transactions and other ad-hoc projects
  • Provide support in internal digitalization initiatives, designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization; help to identify areas of potential improvement in existing processes, working with a clear result-orientation
  • Help to perform tests of the control environment, collaborate, and engage with other colleagues to identify areas of simplification and improvement
  • Provide administrative support to the department head and managers when required (travel planning, co-ordination of meetings, procurement support)
  • Provide support for any virtual or in-person meetings

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Masters or bachelor degree
  • Strong ownership and a “can-do” attitude
  • Inquisitive with a strong passion to learn and develop within a multinational organization
  • Excellent collaboration & communication skills
  • Eager to work in a fast-moving environment with a wide range of activities and responsibilities
  • Fluent English both oral & written       
  • Proficient MS office & virtual collaboration software skills
  • Knowledge of reporting and BI tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau or others an advantage but not necessary
