We are adding a Field Service Site Lead to the team to support our customer in the great city of Chicago!

 Our safe, efficient and comfortable trains are connecting cities all over the United States and we are working together with the customer on site to achieve the main goals for the warranty period. We need a leader who can bring out the best of a team of diverse and dedicated technicians . As the Site lead, you will be on point for overseeing the warranty of both our Locomotive and Coach vehicles. Our goal is to achieve a high customer satisfaction and improve reliability and lead the team for success.!

What you will be doing:

Oversee Commissioning and Warranty of locomotives and/or coaches.

Give out daily assignments to the local team and report weekly to manager on status and performance of the team.

Teach new technicians how to troubleshoot and analysis of failures on locomotives or coaches with the use of mechanical drawings, schematics and location circuit plans, electrical and mechanical repairs of various components.

Read, interpret and understand written or electronic information to identify the Root cause of a failures and compile reports for your site lead and warranty manager.

Understand and ensure the team is following company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures.

Oversee implementation of Field Modifications (FMI’s) to improve the quality of our product.

Document failures, part exchanges, implementation of FMI’s and your performed work in our Commissioning and Warranty data base.

Communicate in a team, to other site lead and colleagues, verbally and in writing, technical information, job procedure recommendations, improvements, and other work-related information.

Receive and send out failed parts for repair. RMA.

What you will need to be successful:

High school diploma (or GED)

Interpersonal skills and ability to work in team

Valid Driver's license in good standing.

Work with shop machines and hand tools.

Minimum two years experience leading a team

We would be impressed if you had

A college of technical degree

Commissioning experience in a rail transport setting
