Job Description

We are adding a Planner to our diverse, dedicated and growing Order Management team as a result of our continued success in the marketplace. Come Own the process of supporting, guiding and encouraging our valued suppliers to perform on time deliveries of open purchase orders in support of production demand. What you will be doing:

Initiate and champion high impact conversations to ensure continuous supply of needed materials

Analyze purchase requisitions and review for accuracy and completion

Liaise with suppliers to work through price, delivery or invoice topics

Collaborates with various departments to resolve demand requirements

Engage with manufacturing, planning, sourcing and engineering teams to connect on material supply topics

Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend standard methodologies to improve products, processes or services

What our Planners need to be successful:

5 year proven record in procurement or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment

SAP Superpowers !

Experience in leading supply chain protocols with suppliers

Outstanding MS Office & Excel skills.

Adept at understanding, evaluating & strengthening supplier capacity

Analytical, numerically astute with validated problem solving abilities

Uniquely skilled at building and maintaining effective and positive relationships with the supplier community

Excellent written & verbal communication and stellar interpersonal skills.

ISO 9000 experience

Rail Experience

Lean Manufacturing - Knowledge of basic lean principles and techniques

Bachelors Degree in Engineering
