We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Developer for Grid Edge Software to join our Smart Infrastructure team. Based in our Bayswater, VIC office, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within an area of the Siemens business that has enormous market potential.

Reporting to the Country Business Unit Lead, the Business Developer will be required to visit internal and external customers to develop business opportunities for the Grid Edge unit in Australia and New Zealand. Once these opportunities have been identified you will then be required to write solution specifications and develop operation philosophies to enforce Siemens position in selling process - understanding and clarifying customer requirements, driving those expectations into Siemens technical concepts and expertise, and prepare offers, including cost calculations, and define delivery concepts of our solutions.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you will have the following:
- Knowledge of the Energy Industry
- Ideally have knowledge of Smart Grid infrastructure
- Experience in selling Grid Edge software products, Meter Data Management solutions, Grid Control Systems
- Ideally, familiar with the MEDDIC sales framework or other similar sales methodology
- Understanding of the IoT market and key drivers and associated technology and vendor players
- Enjoy working in a virtual and dynamic environment
- Experience in channel selling and partner management
- Keen to become a hands-on team player to get things done and are excited about continuous learning
- Self-confident in communicating and presenting decisions.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and engaged individual who has a specialization in software sales, with the ability to lead RFQ’s, offer preparations - including cost calculation and T&Cs negotiation.
