Pre-Sales Solution Consultant / Energy & Utilities - Siemens Digital Industries Software

Summary:
  • Technical Sales and support of Siemens Xcelerator portfolio. Canada based highly skilled role within the Canadian Pre-Sales/Business Development team
  • As a Pre-Sales Solution Consultant, you will lead the engagement with customers and prospects to gather high level customer business needs and technical requirements, architect appropriate solutions as well as understand existing IT infrastructure
  • You will utilize your experience in managing large construction or operations & maintenance projects and managing large assets in the Oil & Gas, Utilities or Process space, to be able to speak with authority and be a trusted advisor to our customer's business issues
  • By utilizing advanced knowledge of customer business needs, industry best practices and competitive differentiation, you will prepare and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of our software solutions in support of our selling efforts
  • You will be a critical contributor within the sales process
  • You will maintain excellent knowledge of the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Process industries
Responsibilities:
  • Become a trusted advisor with the customer through the building of a credible business and technical consultant relationship, while working alongside the sales orchestrators and other peers within Siemens.
  • Develop a strong high-level knowledge of the breadth of Siemens' digital enterprise portfolio that pertains to the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Process industries
  • Provide guidance and mentoring on the technical capabilities and business value of the customer’s current and proposed Siemens solution portfolio
  • Gather and advise the customer in the definition of high-level business and technical requirements
  • Develop and deliver presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, proposals
  • Manage customer technical queries and coordinate the resources to respond to the customer
  • Construct meaningful collateral for client requests for information (RFI, etc.), proposals (RFP, RFQ, etc.), demonstrations and proof of concept exercises
  • Have a good understanding of Oil & Gas, Utilities and Process industries
  • Record and distribute results of client meetings and subsequent agreements
  • Document and share best practices and customer success stories within the group, Business Unit and across the Siemens Digital Industries Software organization
Requirements:
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in Canada. Qualified applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in Canada
  • Background in one or more of the key areas below:
    • Business process knowledge in Oil & Gas, Utilities or Process industries
    • Experience in the areas of concept design, FEED, detailed engineering.
    • Experience in operations & maintenance – commissioning and decommissioning, installation, maintenance, turnarounds, certification.
    • Experience in maintenance (Planned, Preventative, Predictive, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Condition-based Maintenance, etc.)
    • IoT technologies applied to operations & maintenance in Oil & Gas, Utilities or Process industries
  • Excellent verbal group presentation and written communications skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering relevant to the Energy/Process Industry or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience managing large capital or operations & maintenance projects in the Oil & Gas, Utilities or Process space.
  • Self-starter, motivated and able to work with a minimum of direct supervision
  • Willingness to travel (min 30%)
