Job Description:

Siemens Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced Training Instructor to work closely with the Training Manager to develop and deliver course material and training modules for our customer service group. This includes classroom instruction, field instruction, and administering written assessments.  The successful candidate must have extensive training and delivery experience, and must have a technical background in an electromechanical discipline training adult learners.  The successful candidate will also help build robust training through modern adult learning platforms.  

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for the delivery of product knowledge and operational lesson content in instructor led classroom settings, web supported learning, and hands on machine learning for product and logistical customer support
• Partner with technical, product and business teams to gather information for support content and ensure training material integrity and accuracy
• Build training content that enables Siemens Installation and Support teams and external customers to perform their jobs with minimal ambiguity
• Maintain training material to incorporate changes in product and service demands, while keeping customers with the most current updates.
• Develop evaluation tools to gauge success of developed learning program, conduct evaluations of learning programs and revise learning programs based on evaluation and feedback.
• Mentor other instructors in the subject matter, content, and course delivery techniques for assigned technical courses
• Plan and direct classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs and other computer-aided instructional technologies and virtual workshops


• BS or Technical Degree in Technology or Engineering
• 5 yrs.+ in delivery of product information and support in a technical environment
• Experience developing and delivering high quality training modules
• Experience using content management systems Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Capable of collaborating with engineers and technical SMEs in order to turn technical information into effective learning content
• Must have great people skills and have the ability to foster a learning environment with a diverse group of students
• Support effort to develop training material into eLearning and LMS sessions
• Experience storyboarding for eLearning or multimedia content a plus 
• Working with Adobe Captivate, Premiere Pro and other learning creation applications a plus
• Stand, sit and walk on a daily basis in classroom and in customer facilities where machines are located
• Preferred knowledge of Siemens Logistics products
• Ability to travel to customer sites 50-60% of the time
