As our Commercial Project Manager, you will be responsible for the supporting the execution of multiple trainset projects circa $750+M in value and durations from 5-8 years. You will lead the commercial execution during phases including planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning, and customer acceptance. This is a dynamic, ever changing role with high visibility and a promotional track for those who can exceed expectations
What you will be doing:
Create profit & loss statements for assigned projects.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems, and support the Project Management team to devise contingency plans from a cost perspective.
Monitor and control project scope, schedule, budget, risks and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with the Project Management team.
Maintain tight cost controlling tools in order to provide the project management team accurate and timely information to make key decisions regarding the project financials.
Take charge of the commercial bid management and commercial project management for bogies and other rolling stock components for locomotives, light rail and coaches for the North America markets.
Full profit and loss responsibility for assigned project(s) together with the technical project manager (PM); responsibility for all financial planning aspects, such as maintaining the estimate at completion (EAC) and optimizing the project gross profit, cash flow and assets management.
Clarify the foreign exchange risk mitigation, hedging strategies and international tax requirements.
Lead the negotiations of commercial terms and conditions.
Ensure accuracy of project books and compliance with Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines as well as local GAAP.
Monitor and control project scope, schedule, budget, risks and deliverables that support business goals in alignment with senior management and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with contract documents and proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems, and develop appropriate contingency plans.
Provide monthly project reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal / external customers.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
College diploma or Business ,Finance or Economics
2 years of successful Project Management experience in complex projects.
Excellent commercial, oral and written communication and demonstrate presentation skills.
We would be impressed if you had:
2 years of experience in rail transport
Experience in controlling and accounting, contracts and claims experience with rail vehicle commercial project management
