·        Assist in interviewing witnesses and drafting responses to EEOC or other agency charges.

·        Research and summarize relevant changes in federal, state and local labor and employment laws.

·        Consult with attorneys to determine litigation support requirements and eDiscovery needs.

·        Provide discovery recommendations, plans, time-lines and estimates to the responsible in-house attorney.

·        Draft, send and track legal hold notifications; identify and scope custodians. Plan, schedule and implement electronic and paper collections, including identification and scoping of key datasources in Legal Hold tool for collection by Cybersecurity.   

·        Work with outside counsel to perform search term iterations for data culling and export.

·        Coordinate external counsel and third-party eDiscovery hosting and review vendors.

·        Maintain accurate and current records of all aspects of projects relating to tracking, specifications, and chain of custody related to litigation issues.

·        Review, select, categorize, organize and maintain documents, including for litigation purposes and subpoenas.

·        Utilize matter management system for tracking employment litigation and charges and maintain case budgets.

·        Assist in the preparation of answers to interrogatories, responses to other written discovery and document production.

·        Create monthly reports of agency charges and employment litigation.

·        Leverage legal and business knowledge to identify, analyze, evaluate, and monitor risk exposure, and work with internal counsel to develop methodologies to define, manage and mitigate such risks while considering operational impacts.

·        Support employment law training programs.

·        Manage subpoena responses for employment matters.

·        Handle scheduling, communications and act as a liaison between company attorneys, employees, and outside counsel.

·        Perform basic legal research and other information searches, both manually and electronically.

·        Consult with HR on routine matters.

·        Help define and communicate boundaries and employee expectations around key processes and procedures related to employment law compliance.

·        Draft documents including newsletters, training documents and settlement agreements.

·        Handle various administrative tasks and ad-hoc legal projects.

Required skills to have for the success of this role

·        At least five years of experience as a labor and employment paralegal

·        At least five years of experience in litigation support, eDiscovery or as a paralegal involved with case management, legal holds, interviews, document collection, analysis, export and assistance with all stages of discovery

·        Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience required

·        Paralegal certification preferred

·        Experience with matter management

·        Experience with Exterro Fusion or similar legal hold tools

·        Experience with OpenText Axcelerate or similar tools like Relativity

·        Advanced knowledge of labor and employment litigation management

·        Advanced knowledge of eDiscovery applications, discovery processes and technologies

·        Experience with project management

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Ability to work well both in a team and independently

·        Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

·        Proficient on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to learn new software as required
