This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Senior Clinical Database Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • You will work with the clinical study teams to develop, implement, and test key variables for the electronic data capture system
  • You will act as technical expert for the clinical data management system
  • You will serve as a primary point of technical contact and interface for database vendors
  • You will develop test scripts and reports within the clinical EDC system
  • You will manage user access and permissions within the clinical EDC system as well as perform the Clinical EDC parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users
  • You will translate protocol requirements into system requirements with input from end-users

This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to do develop your career with Healthineers

  • You have knowledge of SAS and/or R Programming
  • You have relevant knowledge of data analysis and/or medical coding
  • You are proficient with the following programming languages: SQL, C#, Python, and/or R
  • You are proficient with the PC skills e.g., MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
  • You have had exposure to clinical data coding classification systems e.g., MedDRA, WHO-Drug, Data Standardization
  • You have strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Required skills to have for the success of this role


  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • At least eight (8) years within clinical data management or software engineering support of EDC systems
  • Experience working within a Clinical EDC system (e.g., Oracle Clinical, Medrio, Medidata Rave) and application
