This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Laboratory Animal Technician, you will be responsible for

  • You will operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • You will participate in laboratory work, follow common laboratory practice and support good laboratory documentation.
  • You will humanely handle and manipulate small/large animals to obtain the desired material.
  • You will strictly adhere Quality System Requirements and follow proper cGMP and GDP guidelines.
  • You will participate in the care and maintenance of animals.

  • You have obtained a High School diploma and have at least 1+ years of relevant experience with lab animals.
  • You have the ability to perform basic laboratory functions, pH determination, pipetting, aseptic techniques, handling hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.
  • You have ability to work with strict timeline, work independently and or as a team player, adopt frequent changes, handle multi-tasking and prioritize workload as needed.
  • You have experience handling sheep and goats.
  • You have good PC skills (MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
  • You will be working with our latest technology and therefore you are willing to learn about new processes or technologies.
  • You have very good communication and presentation skills.

Required skills to have for the success of this role

    •  to position in chute systems
    • Catch and restrain animals (sheep/goats) in small pens
  • Physical ability to handle 50 lb. sacks of feed and 125 lb. bales of hay
  • Must be quick learner and able to work independently.
