It’s an exciting time here at Siemens Digital Industries, and we are currently looking to recruit for a Test/DevOps Engineer to join our team!

What will you be doing?

You will lead feasibility and functional requirements studies for the automation of test routines and software programs with focus on surpassing customer expectations, on achieving high quality and on-time delivery.

Develop test programs based on R&D released test and verification diagnostics. Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems. Creates, documents, and executes software and/or emulation hardware designs which may involve significant re-architecture of important systems, defining and coordinating implementation of wide-reaching impacts.

Ensures the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanism.

We want candidates who are able to tackle complex technical problems. Provides high-level technical expertise, including performing in-depth and complex software systems programming and analysis. Provide problem resolution and technical leadership for the group.

Possesses broad knowledge of internal operating systems, applications implications and customer areas. Technical lead in guiding junior engineers.

What are we looking for?
  • CI/CD using Gitlab and Jenkins
  • Git, Python3, Django, JUnit, Groovy, bash.
  • Continuous Integration, Automated Testing and Test Driven Development using Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Linux system administration and automation.
  • Windows system administration, automation and development using MINGW/MSYS.
  • Hardware automation, including remote power control and automated recovery.
  • Web development using python-django

You will need to work well without supervision on highly complex projects with complete latitude for independent judgment and technical expertise. Extensive knowledge of the field.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the local server operations of the group, including administration and maintenance of our Linux and Windows systems, backups, and services (e.g. Gitlab, Jenkins, LDAP, Mysql, Apache, Nginx, SGE, SVN, SSL certificates).
