Essential Functions

  • Operates tools and equipment common to the material handling trade (e.g. manual and powered sit-down and stand-up industrial trucks). Must be licensed on sit down and stand-up industrial trucks
  • Enforce 5S, 7 Wastes and other lean principles in the team/area
  • Realize SAP transactions as needed before, during and after the production process
  • Update reports and files as required for the calculation if metrics/measurements of the area
  • Identify and report to the proper support function of any issue impacting the area
  • Responsible to accommodate requests of Production personnel
  • Responsible for CIP Team/Projects by empowering the team for ownership
  • Cleans and maintains equipment and work area to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions
  • Accesses and utilizes various documents, with the use of computers, associated with the manufacture of products (e.g. Quality & Safety Documents, Operating Instructions, etc.)
  • Performs other work as directed by Supervision


Job Specifications

 Working Conditions: Job involves typically working indoors, being assigned to any of the different shifts, occasionally lifting heavy materials, wearing common safety equipment (e.g. cut resistant gloves and sleeves, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.) being exposed to loud noises and the possibility of bumps, cuts, scrapes, and strains.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (desirable 2yr degree)
  • Minimum 2 years in manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools (Good listener, MS Office, SAP Knowledge)   
  • Knowledge on all the operations of the assembly/fabrication/process of the area
  • Knowledge of material flow, Warehouse Management (WM) transaction knowledge (Training Program)
  • Knowledge of sit down and stand up trucks. Not required but a plus : SPS, 5S, Problem Solving, CIP
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
  • Must be able to reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs , and push/pull/slide heavy material 
  • Must be able to make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
