Senior Project Engineer – CAPEX equipment

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our innovative process engineering team at Siemens Healthineers Magnet Technology.

Due to expansion, we are looking for experienced Project Engineers to develop new processes and equipment within our manufacturing facility.  

As Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for developing manufacturing processes and technologies using current best practice to improve quality standards and deliver productivity. You will manage large and complex equipment/improvement projects and PP changes.

Your mission and responsibilities:

  • Execute large and complex projects, e.g., new piece of capital equipment. Generates complex project plans with minimal direction.
  • Developing and implementing new processes and manufacturing equipment to enable our new product and continuous improvement agendas
  • Managing capital investment and infrastructure projects, from functional specification creation, through vendor selection, commissioning, and manufacturing release.
  •  Use recognised techniques to diagnose root cause of complex issues. Develops robust solutions.
  •  Evolve and adapt designs, processes, and technologies new to Magnet Technology. Proposes opportunities to innovate beyond current technology.
  •  Identify likely outcomes of technical proposals. Able to critique other proposals. Mitigates risks across projects (FMEA/ EH&S Assessment).
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to assist in the development of graduate engineers.
  • Solving manufacturing problems to resolve internal and external process issues and maintain our zero-harm culture in the process

What we are looking for:

  • A Degree in Engineering, Science, manufacturing (or related subject) or an extensive equivalent experience.
  • Substantial and varied technical experience in manufacturing / process engineering
  • Experience in taking the lead on complex CAPEX process equipment projects 
  • Good track record of personally implementing substantial improvement activities within budget constraints and challenging timescales.
  • Experienced in the use of tools to facilitate effective problem solving within a lean environment
  • If you have excellent communication skills, can effectively manage, and solve a wide range of complex technical issues, we would love to hear from you.
