Business Operations Analyst, Siemens Industry Software, Asia Pacific

Job Description

This role provides assistance to the Business Operations Team in AP from database and process perspective to maintain Business Data Quality, integrity and stability of applications deployed to support the day-to-day business operations. This role will also perform the UAT for system deployment for quality assurance. This role will report directly to the Business Operations Manager of the Business Tools and Analytics team at AP Operations.  The position will be involved in development of applications where all source codes and intellectual property right will be owned by Siemens Industry Software.

Specific Responsibilities and Requirements:

System and Data Integrity Assurance (CRM, Database, Tableau, Business Objects and other Business Applications), and Continual improvement

  • Ensure data interrelationship between Account, Opportunity, Lead, Contact, Install, Revenue and DUNS records, specifically
    1. Account Industry Classification
    2. Account deduplication to ensure record uniqueness
    3. Account hierarchy
    4. Account and opportunity naming consistency

including other integrity scenarios brought from Data Objects mentioned above

  • Perform regular check on integrity improvement and report the result to management
  • Apply data cleansing through various solutions, including ETL, and improve existing data processing and connection stability
  • Coordinate and define quality and stability checking exercises on various Reporting platforms
  • provide advisory and define materials to ensure stability of daily operations, and seek for improvement
  • Through the above, with guidance from the Business Operations manager, one of the most important targets is to provide "correct" industry business reporting for AP as a whole, that is currently a challenge for AP due to DUNS application.
  • Goal is also to, based on the above measures, actively work to eliminate or manage any downtime of deployed applications

Administration, and regular reporting

  • Support System users setup
  • Update and maintain AP Intranet (SharePoint based)
  • Document and Review process, system and Business Intelligence user guide
  • Assist in ad hoc assignments as required

Testing and Training

  • Assist and participate in UAT and new features and processes testing, and document testing scripts/scenarios, consolidate result from End Users

Skills, Experience, Qualifications:

  

  • Bachelor Degree with minimum 2 years of relevant experience in System and / or Data Quality assurance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English plus an Asian language
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a team and customer oriented, mission-driven environment
  •  Business acumen including good knowledge of data integrity resolution and understand the importance of having good quality of data, and how data can be utilized to improve business processes
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle
  • Familiar with popular CRM applications (e.g. Salesforce.com SFA and/or others) as well as Dun & Bradstreet location structure, DemandTools
  •  Experienced in i) ETL / Alteryx; ii) Tableau, Business Objects, would be an advantage
  •  Observant, perceptive, open-minded, flexible thinking and with a can-do attitude
