Siemens Corporation is seeking a motivated individual for our Income Tax Compliance Manager position. The position requires a team player that is highly organized, responsive, very flexible and has the ability to balance multiple projects while producing accurate and timely results.
What are your responsibilities?
Prepare and review federal and state corporate income tax returns, both consolidated and stand-alone entity in Corptax.
Prepare and review federal consolidated return adjustments, such as intercompany eliminations, tax attributes.
Prepare international tax returns, such as Form 5471, Form 8858 in Corptax.
Preparation and review of monthly and annual income tax provisions in Corptax Provision and reconciliation of provision to tax return.
Ensure the accuracy of tax returns, tax provisions and other required reports including retention of documentation supporting tax positions under examination by tax authorities.
Interacts with the operating company colleagues, third party advisors, external advisors and taxing authorities on tax provision, compliance, planning and controversy issues.
Proactively seeks to improve compliance and provision processes.
Proactively identifies tax planning opportunities.
Learn the organization’s business and contribute to problem resolution when issues identified.
Required Experience, Knowledge and Education:
BS/BA in Accounting required. Master’s degree in Tax or Accounting a plus
7 plus years of experience in preparing/reviewing consolidated federal and state corporate income tax returns required preferably some of which in public accounting
Extensive technical and practical knowledge of corporate income tax and accounting for income taxes required
Excellent organization and follow-up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all commitments.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent digital literacy with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat required
Experience with Corptax Software preferred SAP, Alteryx, and /or Tableau a plus
