This is role is well-suited to an ambitious professional looking for the next step in your career. As the Director, SCM New Product Development you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of engineering professionals supporting the development of a next generation platform product
  • Leading multi-functional teams consisting of manufacturing, procurement/supply chain, construction and R&D (direct, matrixed and external resources) across POC sites and suppliers
  • Ownership of all SCM project responsibilities covering every aspect required to deliver New Product such as:
    • Schedule management and implementation (SC&M 5-year plan)
    • Responsible for developing and managing manufacturing, system, and consumable budgets
    • Managing high-value and high-complexity contracts.
    • Key contributor regarding New Product development strategy with frequent input into R&D, service and finance issues and resolutions.
    • Coordinate Early Supplier Involvement/Partnerships to establish technology roadmaps which identify future needs, and drive product development and supplier technology advancements to improve product quality
    • Key contributor for System Consumable and Instrument
    • Key contributor for Consumable and Instrument Manufacturing Lines

  • New Product Strategy development (SCM) facilitating input into R&D, service and finance issues and resolutions
  • Coordinating Early Supplier Involvement/Partnerships to establish technology roadmaps
  • Experience with both System Consumables and Instrumentation
  • Experience with both Consumable and Instrument Manufacturing Lines

Experience and requirements for success in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience in a Medical Device industry
  • Willing to travel up to 30%
