Tasks & responsibilities:

•Manage the Tax organization across the company and oversee the day to day global tax accounting, planning, compliance and policy functions.
•Design, develop and implement global tax guidelines, policies and processes to ensure consistency across countries.
•Develop and foster relationships with strong tax advisors to ensure global tax support to the business as required.  Decide on appropriate service providers for tax advisory engagements.
•Ensure proper and timely completion of domestic and international direct and indirect tax returns, including all related analysis and support.
•Assess and implement appropriate internal controls related to tax accounting processes and procedures.
•Optimize, in cooperation with local tax professionals, the design of tax efficient structures in local operating units.
•Participate in all major decisions with respect to taxation impact, including acquisitions, divestitures, transfer pricing and major contracts.
•Manage financial audits and tax audits.
•Evaluate and decide on IT based tax management systems to ensure the tax requirements are appropriately integrated into IT systems.
•Lead and develops international (or internationally focused) team of Tax professionals.
•Supports Shareholder Controlling objectives for Tax related activities.
•Develop and maintain budget for Tax activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance
•CPA or JD required; LLM in Tax or Master’s in Tax Preferred
•Min. requirement of 15 plus years of Multinational Corporate Tax Experience and extensive experience in leading and developing a tax organization
•Big 4 experience a plus

Attributes & Skills

•Business oriented approach to communicating taxes and tax planning.  Be able to effectively communicate with and influence non-tax business leaders
•Strong finance background, good analytical skills with the ability to take data and turn into meaningful reporting to Management
•SAP knowledge is advantageous

•Fluent in English (written and spoken)
