The Project Scheduler provides project management support services for scheduling system projects from inception through completion. This includes development of complete project schedules including resource loading, time impact analysis, claims analysis, labor distribution, activity prioritization, and planning. Additional responsibilities for this position include administering user support, technical support and assistance with departmental training on Primavera software products used by Project Management.
A. *Develops active project schedules.
B. *Forecasts remaining work on active projects.
C. *Gathers labor/resource/cost information from estimating, engineering, project management, production, subcontractors, vendors, and purchasing.
D. *Gathers deliverables information/updates for Accountability reports and meetings.
E. *Updates active project schedules for task completeness, resource usage and cost usage for contract specified periods.
F. *Administers Primavera P6, Primavera Contract Manager and/or SharePoint site for Project Management and assists with training of Project Management personnel on the software.
G. *Provides technical support for Project Management department.
H. *Departmental backup person for bi-weekly verification and approval of payroll entries for department.
I. *Analyzes bid specifications for required activity and schedule risk.
J. *Writes summary analysis of project schedule requirements from bid specifications for assigned project manager.
K. *Writes narratives for schedule updates for review, edit, and approval by project manager.
L. *Programs project resource reports and cost reports in Infomaker system.
M. *Develops bid schedules for submission with bids.
N. *Assists the project manager with the analysis, research, and documentation for claim preparation, time impact delays and/or time extension submittal requirements for active projects and writes necessary narrative within confines of contract requirements and legal constraints.
O. Attends project and industry-related meetings, as required.
P. Establishes individual goals that are aligned with the Company's business strategies and objectives.
Q. Functions as a contributing member of the department's team and other teams, as assigned.
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
Minimum 2-3 years Primavera P6 scheduling experience in complex projects and resource loading complex CPM schedules.
