Remote Project Manager: Cloud Managed Services

Position Overview

Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization and we are seeking a self-driven individual to complement our growing team.

As a Siemens Cloud Managed Services Project Manager, you will lead and manage project delivery teams to assist our customers realize value of a PLM solution deployed on GovCloud. You will establish and communicate clear project priorities and program activities. This role is the primary point of contact to align the customer, stakeholders and the Siemens delivery teams.

As part of the Managed Services team, you will work with System Architects, Program Managers, Product Architects, Consultants, Industry Experts and Product Development teams to ensure project and customer success.  In addition to the traditional PM role, you will be responsible for managing a new DevOps initiative to automate Teamcenter deployments and establish a CI/CD pipeline. Resources for this effort will be a mix of internal resources as well as external consultants.


·       Define and manage project plans and deliverables for the DevOps evolution across the Siemens DS product portfolio

·       Be well versed in Dev Ops tools, concepts, and methodologies

·       Proficiency in properly and quickly prioritizing and scoping requirements

·       The ability to work collaboratively with all parties and engage with business partners to ensure implemented tools and technologies are being utilized to their fullest potential

·       Creating executive presentations and be able to convey story and messages clearly and concisely

·       Tracking issues and reporting statuses via use of platforms such as Jira

·       Manage and report the efforts to management and may involve tasking individuals and holding them accountable to maintain progress

·       Be able to perform research and provide read outs to teams on such tools and technologies

·       The individual will work with the respective Dev Ops leads and create/manage and work to complete the defined project plans and deliverables

·       Take general direction and follow up to ensure all teams are working efficiently and are not being impacted or redirected due to other priorities or lack of clarity and scope. This individual will quickly escalate issues to management as appropriate

·       Provide guidance to team members in the right and proper direction (e.g. providing guidance on how to be using different DevOps tools and which tool to use)

·       Create and organize all reporting matrices, power points and project tracking plans for applications impacted and be able to report out and communicate to upper management accordingly

·       Manage customer requirements and project scope to achieve project objectives, effectively communicating project expectations to customers, stakeholders, and Siemens team members in a timely fashion

·       Manage and support project management activities to control scope, cost, schedule, issues, risks, and quality

·       Perform program quality management, ensuring that the solution meets the requirements and is to the appropriate quality and management compliance to rules, regulations, and standards

·       Perform project reviews and retrospectives regularly and feed the results and lessons learned into program and organization

·       Ensure the projects in the program are meeting to the approved budget and agreed margin and both are reviewed on a regular basis

·       Define and agree to project roles and responsibilities

·       Conduct Stakeholder meeting to manage and guides stakeholders through systematic identification, analysis and plans of action to aid in negotiations

·       Define and execute all required processes in alignment with all stakeholders including appropriate communication to all levels

·       Proactively monitor the project’s overall performance, resolving issues and initiate corrective and preventative action as appropriate

·       Enforce change management at the project level to ensure the dependencies of the change is reflected and understood

·       Make technical recommendations and implement overall system design of the Siemens solutions

·       Identify, drive, create new opportunities and renewals for current projects/programs

 Required Qualifications

·       United States Citizenship required.

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent years of experience (8+)

·       Minimum 5 years in a Project manager/ leadership role, guiding a team of consultants in a software implementation

·       Three to five years of experience working in a customer facing environment

·       Experience managing mid-size team across multiple locations

·       Experience in identifying and implementing cost savings measures within services projects

·       Technical confidence and familiarity with Dev Ops tools, techniques and more importantly, mindset

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·       Excellent written and verbal communications with the ability to present complex issues to multi-level audiences of company and government executives

·       Ability to effectively communicate progress, status, and issues to internal and external customers

·       Ability to obtain and meet Business goals and results

·       Ability to promote complex solutions and drive acceptance with confidence

·       Knowledge and ability to deliver goals effectively and drive the team to success with a sense for urgency

·       Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%

·       Technical confidence and familiarity with Dev Ops tools, techniques and more importantly, mindset

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience with Open Source solutions and software

·       Architectural experience building and managing large scale cloud-based efforts

·       Understanding of US Government contracting types and SLA type agreements

 Security Clearance

·       Candidate must be a United States Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
