Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as a Staff Data Scientist.  The ideal candidate will be able to enrich, analyze, and visualize complex machine data from a global install base using different types of algorithms such as predictive modeling and machine learning. This data will be used to make insights to improve the reliability and performance of current and future products.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Staff Data Scientist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting exploratory data analyses in high dimensions with different kinds of data, e. g. machine data (sensor data and log files), process-related data or textual data.
  • Developing reusable analytic models, configure and deploy algorithms, select optimal tools and define visualization methods/tools to present results.
  • Independently develop and test prototypes in an industrial environment, validate and communicate results to answer business-relevant questions.
  • Contributing to developing organizational best practices in machine learning and data engineering.

Required skills to have for the success of this role

  • Comfortable with creation and analysis of complex models to support effective decision making.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills to present technical and business-relevant insights at different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to apply analytical rigor and statistical methods to optimize products and understand the behavior of customers.
  • Strong technical expertise in technologies, algorithms and methodologies in the areas of big data, data mining, machine learning and natural language processing.
  • Expertise in big data analytics and analytics with structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience in Azure big data technologies is beneficial.
  • Extensive knowledge of using and extending analytical tools and systems, e.g. Python, Spark, Databricks, PowerBI and similar data analytics workbenches.
  • University degree in mathematics, computer science, physics, electrical engineering or engineering sciences
