Siemens Digital Industries Software is a world leader in PLM Software with dozens of domain applications supporting different industries. We are seeking a leader to create new API strategies across our applications. We want to provide the next generation portfolio experiences across these applications (desktop and web) and create new business strategies based on modern API capabilities.

Come join an innovation and architecture leadership team focused on driving portfolio strategy in Siemens Digital Industries Software. You will be the API change agent on this team driving a technology strategy working with engineering and business teams. You will learn and grow from both a technical and a domain knowledge working with the broad portfolio of Siemens Digital Industries Software. You will have a chance to contribute to the SaaS journey in this role.

API strategy management/implementation
Rationalize API monetization strategy across multiple products/offerings
Perform competitive assessment and technical analysis for API management
Develop API taxonomy and classification across a broad range of products
Develop strategies for API payload optimization for integrations/interoperability
Work with stakeholders to rationalize and prioritize use cases for developing, consuming and running APIs
Partner with Technical Operations and business to select, develop and validate tools
Develop requirements for SW for API management of web and desktop applications
Rationalize existing API management tools with strategy
Validate API management tools
Drive adoption of API management tools in business
Oversee API governance strategy for SWDefine process around how API strategy is implemented by the business
Define KPIs for adherence to API management policies 

Required Skillset 
● Extensive experience with service and API development 
● Demonstrated experience developing monetization based on API and data 
● Demonstrated experience leading multiple teams on API architecture initiatives 
● Demonstrated experience with security aspects of API Demonstrated experience developing API strategy for multi-cloud and/or hybrid deployment scenarios 
● Experience with full SDLC and multiple development tools such as Git 
● Demonstrated experience with Solution architecture for integration projects 

Preferred Skillset 
● Experience developing API strategy for commercial products. 
● Knowledge on standards for data exchange especially around PLM and operational data 
● Experience developing API strategy for brownfield applications 
● Security Certifications 
● Experience with API management tools (Mulesoft, Apigee, Kong) 
● Experience working with enterprise, engineering and PLM Applications 
● Experience with encryption and DRM 
● Experience with robotic process automation (RPA)

The salary range for this position is $159,900 to $287,800 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
