TITLE:                             Service Technician

COMPANY:                     Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc.

DUTIES:                           Perform mainly pre-defined, technical tasks (for example, basic commissioning of products and systems, integration of components to a system, basic engineering, maintenance jobs) and work packages on-site and remotely. Support customer remotely and onsite and provide 2nd and 3rd level user support in case of arising issues. Coordinate and accomplish defined service operations and/or resolve product issues for customers equipment. Support generating sales leads for pre-defined service offers and contribute to planning activities. Adhere to defined processes and applicable regulations.

                                                                       

REQUIREMENTS:         Associate degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field, and 8 years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. Full term of experience must include the following skills: certified Siemens training on Siemens MR systems; Siemens certified training and proficiency in troubleshooting Image Quality issues on Siemens MR systems; certified Siemens training in the Magnet system and 4K cold head replacement; proficient knowledge of electrical test equipment; experience in managing, coordinating, and performing preventive maintenance and modifications on Siemens MR systems; ability to work independently and without supervision; ability to read and understand documents pertaining to install, setup, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams and functional description.  100% travel to customer sites in Auburn, AL metropolitan area is required. Telecommuting permitted when not at customer site.

OTHER:                           Alpharetta, GA.   40 hours/week; $88,483/year.
