Sales Finance Managers in our Siemens EDA organization play a critical role in developing business & success by acting as key business partners and advisors to the sales teams. This is an exciting time to be part of the one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial software!
What you'll be doing
As part of the Siemens EDA organization and its collaborative worldwide finance team, you will be a Sales Finance Manager supporting our European Sales organization specifically focused on Southern and Northern Europe:
As a Finance Business Partner, you are a key advisor to our sales teams, enabling successful sales of software solutions into large accounts by supporting throughout the sales process, from deal qualification until revenue is recognized. You interface, lead and coordinate across multiple disciplines including legal, order fulfillment, treasury, corporate finance, sales to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures and the correct recognition of revenues.
Building effective and valuable relationships is central to the role. So naturally, you need to create trust and credibility with our sales teams and senior management. You act as a trusted adviser on our sales team’s challenges, and how to improve revenue recognition and forecasts.
This position is ideally based in France (Chatillon, Grenoble, etc.), but could also be based in another country in EMEA.
What you'll need to bring
We would love to hear from you if you have a finance (controlling specialization preferred) degree and at least more than 7 years related business experience. You should come with a strong understanding of revenue recognition concepts, including IFRS15/ASC606 software revenue recognition. You also have good knowledge on tools (Excel, MS Office, SAP Business Objects), and reporting, presenting skills.
A broad range of authentic, clear and credible communication skills are essential to this role. We need someone able to communicate complex ideas in effective and efficient manors, with a variety of audiences (including translate complex data to non-financial/technical professional). Versatility combined with the ability to guide and collaborate under ambiguous and rapidly changing circumstances are essential traits for success in this position.
You work in English and you also speak French (to deal with French sales teams and review deal contracts in French). You successfully influence the different business partners in both these languages.
