As a member of the Questa Formal R&D team, you will design, develop, modify, and implement algorithms for the formal verification of digital hardware systems. Work with model checking algorithms, SAT solvers, synthesis optimizations, SMT solvers and BDD packages to produce the highest performing solvers on both traditional grid platforms and cloud computing platforms. Participate in academic and industry conferences. Collaborate with our customers, leading semiconductor companies, to best apply and expand our technology portfolio for their verification challenges.
The successful candidate will be part of an R&D team responsible for improving the runtime performance of the solvers underlying the Questa Formal suite of verification tools. Developing in C++, the candidate will consider all aspects of performance, from the underlying solvers, to the formulation of verification problems, to the hardware platforms used to run the tools. The candidate will take promising ideas from conception, to implementation, and through to deployment.
Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with our industrial customers and academic researchers to generate and discuss potentially useful algorithms and approaches that improve the performance of formal verification
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in formal verification or a closely related field.
- Experienced C++ software developer
Good to have
- Experience with cloud computing on AWS/Azure/GPC
- Familiarity with System Verilog and/or VHDL
- Python programming experience
- Experience with SVA or PSL property specification languages
