To manage the project within time, budget and quality framework: Ensuring economic success and customer satisfaction for projects of medium complexity: (e.g., use of complex techniques and medium project risk) Carrying the entire project risk, both technical and commercial. Representation of the project in all decision-making bodies. As a “Project Manager”, you will be responsible

Project planning, project controlling and project reporting:

For projects of medium complexity: (e.g., use of complex techniques and medium project risk) derivation of the comprehensive project objectives from the contract and offer documents. Preparation of the project planning and the required project documents. Ensuring compliance with defined procedures/processes for project controlling and reporting.

Project organization and management

For projects of medium complexity: (e.g. use of complex techniques and medium project risk), Manage the project within the defined financial targets (budget, target costing, target profit), Setting up the Project Organization, roles & responsibilities, Optimize project profitability and ensuring business success, Implement procedures to resolve issues and problems (identification, analysis, measures and monitoring) with all relevant internal and external partners, define procedures and requirements for quality management, manage regular project review meetings and organize the milestone prerequisites & Gate reviews.

Project implementation:

For projects of medium complexity: (e.g., use of complex techniques and medium project risk) coordination of the complex project implementation with national or international partners. If necessary, participation in negotiations with subcontractors, possibly also with international suppliers together with the commercial project manager. Ensuring that the project goals defined with the customer and all project participants are achieved.

Application Engineering Management

For projects of medium complexity: (e.g., use of complex techniques and medium project risk), manage the Application Engineering and System Design for Project Specific Hardware/Software, this includes management of Hardware and Software/Data engineering, Lab testing activities and verification of the Detailed Design.

Stakeholder Management

For projects of medium complexity: (e.g., use of complex techniques and medium project risk), Negotiate with stakeholders on requests for changes, implement strategies to strengthen customer relations, collect information on the customer requirements / goals and provide information/feedback to customers on a regular basis.

Exploration of further business opportunities:

For projects of medium complexity: (e.g., use of complex techniques and medium project risk) Identification and exploitation of additional business opportunities during project implementation.

Risk management

For projects of medium complexity: (e.g., use of complex techniques and medium project risk), ensure that all risks are identified, assessed and monitored in all project phases (including Compliance), define measures & suitable strategies for minimizing (eliminating, reducing) risks and ensure escalation in good time

Leadership:

For projects of medium complexity: (e.g., use of complex techniques and medium project risk) Technical leadership of the project team including staff resource planning, coordination with the organizational units involved and effective team cooperation.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds

·        You have Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in electrical / electronic engineering.

·        You carry 2-5 years of experience in Project Management, preferable in Railways (experience of Design Management can also be considered, however minimum of 2 years Project Management experience is required)

·        You have 5+ years of experience in Railway Signaling domain

·        Knowledge of Signaling System Design/Engineering, Lab setup & Testing, RAMS, Verification and Validation activities.

·        Knowledge of Railways International Standards; mainly CENELEC EN50126, EN50128 and EN50129

·        You are fluent in English.
