Logistics Project Manager - Transport

Job Description

Mission:

-Provide systematic and professional E2E deliver value chain & logistics solution and service to bring competitiveness to Siemens and value to Customers
-Initiate/lead for RC-CN DI FIN LOG project implementation in close collaboration with internal & external partners and cross-functions
-Coordinate and support the implementation of future-oriented strategies, methods, processes, or systems to contribute to business growth of Division/BU/Region/OCs
-Drive for continuous improvement of Logistics performance, cost and productivity.

What are my responsibilities? 

1) Strategic thinking and know-how of E2E delivery value chain& logistics, and its performance improvement through root cause identification and solution design

2) Drive / Support Logistic related projects to cover all related business needs in DI China to enable sales growth and provide superior experience to customers, (focus on transportation related projects, including shipping location setup, shipping mode change, transport EDI setup, network design, transport tender projects, etc.)

3) Seeking opportunity and drive for cost, productivity and performance improvement through innovative and digital solution and technology

4) Drive / Support DI Global Transport Management project/activities with global scale

5) Overall monitor and improve International/Domestic transportation performance for DI China or Global

6) Inquiry and negotiate for competitive service rate based on customer requirement and act as a logistic expert to find optimized and balanced solution for customers 

7) Forwarder contract negotiation and management together with procurement

What do I need to qualify for this job? 

Bachelors’ degree or above, preferrable in Supply Chain & Logistic Management related
Minimum of 10 years professional experience in supply chain management, 5 years in project management as project manager 
Good computer skills including SAP, MS suite, and Digital/Automation tool
Fluently English in both writing and oral, German will be a plus
Other key competences as below:

• E2E deliver value chain& logistics network design know how
• Negotiation and Logistics Contract Management
