What will you do?

  • Sell Fire Systems Solutions to new and existing customers with high activity around prospecting; covering GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and SWO (Southwestern Ontario)
  • Work actively with Consultants and Engineers to assist them with their design
  • Perform needs assessments develop sales proposals estimates specifications and presentations
  • Work with operations, finance, legal, solutions ales group and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain the sale
  • Follow through on sold projects to ensure satisfactory completion
  • Participate in sales to operations, turn over and monitor progress
  • Assist in resolving installation collections and other customer satisfaction issues as needed
  • Assist customers and potential customers with problems involving the use of company products and services and recommends suitable resolutions accordingly
  • Prepare accurate and thorough sales activity reports forecast reports and expense tracking
  • Participate in civic and professional organizations and sales department meetings workshops and seminars; Keep current on market business and product trends

What will you need to succeed?

  • 5 years minimum of experience with Fire Systems Solutions Sales required
  • Sound Knowledge of Fire Detection Systems, Mass Notification, Distributed Antenna Systems and Gas based Automatic Suppression Systems is desirable
  • Knowledge of ULC and Ontario Building Code pertaining to Fire Detection
  • Knowledge of competitive product capability is desirable
  • Knowledge of key engineers and contractors active in fire industry in Ontario is desirable
  • Strong relevant technical and financial expertise with an aptitude to learn and competently use company estimating tools as well as, gain an understanding of related contractual and financial concepts relevant to Siemens
  • Excellent negotiation, verbal and written communication skills required along with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of Siemens Smart Infrastructure
  • Strong time management skills, highly self-motivated
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite-Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with large complex accounts
