Job Description

Position Overview:

The Product Owner position is primarily responsible for the high-level definition and design of Opcenter Execution Core’s product suites. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and a wide range of cross-disciplinary knowledge. This position will work with product managers and development teams to deliver new and enhanced functionality. This responsibility comprises involvement in the requirements management process through the entire system development life cycle from inception through delivery.

This position is in Pune, IN.  The position reports to the Development Manager of Opcenter Execution Core R&D.  This is a non-Manager position.

Experience with Agile development practices/environment - preferably SAFe 5.

Responsibilities:

Work with Product Management and other stakeholders to define product strategy and prioritize stories in the team backlog.

Engage with internal/external customers utilizing technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Create and maintain the product backlog. Perform risk analysis of the features.

Assist technology resources in planning and development of technologies and architectures to provide products that are easy to maintain, deploy, scale, and support.

Develop detailed specifications for the product features, so they are clearly understood by the stakeholders.

Coordinate with other Product Owners and teams to ensure coherence of features.

Define acceptance criteria for the features, groom, and verify once they are developed.

Ensure that quality is built-in at all stages of the value stream from design, through development, to testing and delivery.

Provide analysis of tasks required for development, and actively participate in development status reviews.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or higher degree in Science or Engineering

Minimum 5 years experience in the development of complex manufacturing or enterprise-level cloud software

Minimum 2 years proven experience of product ownership/management

Broad exposure to PaaS, SaaS, IaaS for cloud computing models.

Understanding of Web Services lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy), API versioning and design approaches, tools, interoperability concepts.

Understanding of AWS Cloud infrastructure / Services - bird's eye view.

Knowledge of leading-edge technologies, tools, and software & services.

Good to have - 

Product Owner Certification - Any level (preferably SAFe 5) will be a big plus.

Manufacturing experience/background.

Having User Experience background

Knowledge of relational and analysis database methods and techniques.

Familiarity with UML diagrams and Flowcharting processes.
