The Customer Service Engineer III is a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, maintains and modifies Siemens imaging equipment at our customer sites. Our CSEs represent the "Face of Siemens" to the customer. Our Customer Service Engineer will perform service, preventative maintenance, modifications, and installations on medical imaging equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision. The primary Imaging Modality for this specific Job opening is AX/XP/CT imaging Equipment. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.

The Customer Service Engineer III reports to the Regional Service Manager at Siemens Medical Solutions.

Location- Fargo ND.

  • Performs complex equipment installation, trial runs, investigative tests, repairs, and overhauls. Performs complex product and service training to customers.
  • Performs complex maintenance using tools, test equipment, etc., and completes and documents all installations, inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures.
  • Performs service on complex imaging systems.
  • Communicates and interfaces with customer personnel to provide quality service and feedback on problem evaluation and resolution.
  • Performs assessment of complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommends modifications or improvements.
  • May participate in the negotiation and administration of service or systems contracts.

Required skills to have for the success of this role

  • Associates degree in Electronics or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certification may be required.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Successfully demonstrates thorough/ advanced knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
  • Generally, 5-8 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
  • Strong Customer service skills are a requirement.
  • Direction of Others: May provide general guidance to others and train lower-level employees.
  • Key Working Relationships: Frequent inter-organizational and external contacts.
  • Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing.
  • Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
