Job Description

SUMMARY 

Provides the coordination, work assignment, monitoring, support of assigned employees and assigned area(s).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provides work assignments and work instructions to employees throughout each workday. Assists and trains employees in new job assignments. Coordinates work schedules with Assembly Team Manager (ATM), and maintains work status. Performs quality checks on work being performed. Monitors employees' safety, quality, methods and output.  Assists the ATM in conducting regular safety meetings. Prepares and/or reviews employee time sheets and other labor input documents. Assists other employees in resolving problems that might arise within the station. Maintains a good understanding of SAP and other systems that support logistics activities. Ensures employees are fully trained, or supervised while training and using proper documentation and all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when working. Ensures that all necessary materials needed in the area(s) of responsibility are provided/replenished.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

DECISION-MAKING Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

High school education or equivalent.

The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
