As you advance through our selection process, we would like to highlight a few components of a new policy that you should be aware of prior to joining our organization. Earlier this week Siemens Healthineers announced the next steps in our continued commitment to prioritize colleague health, comply with customer/business partner requirements, and help preserve our business continuity.
Going forward, Siemens Healthineers requires full vaccination for COVID-19 for our U.S. employees, contractors, and business partners, where local conditions allow, who:
1) are customer-facing (e.g., those required to visit a customer/business partner site or interact in-person with customers at any conference or meeting) OR
2) come on-site, whether regularly or occasionally, at any Siemens Healthineers location.
Such employees and contractors must provide proof that they received two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or one dose of Johnson & Johnson’s single dose vaccine by Friday, October 15. (Note: Accommodations may be requested for certain medical or religious reasons)
Also, as a highly regulated industry, Siemens Healthineers has received inquiries from state and local agencies regarding our employees’ vaccination status. Regardless of our employee’s vaccine status or whether they are subject to the vaccine requirement outlined above, starting Tuesday, August 31, all Siemens Healthineers USA employees and contractors will be required to report their vaccination status using a secure and confidential online third-party platform for collecting health data.
