Our products and services target a better world and touch many aspects of everyday mobility including the future of Autonomous Connected Vehicles, Clean Air Zones, Traffic Control Systems, Low Emissions Congestion Charging, and Electric Vehicle Charging. If you drove or took public transport today, you almost certainly interacted with what we do every day to keep our roads safe and running efficiently.
The Project Engineering team is responsible for the design and deployment of innovative mobility solutions in the United Kingdom and Worldwide, working independently and as part of larger teams. The systems deployed typically utilise core sub-systems and products from the Traffic Solutions product portfolio with network configuration and project specific developments.
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for developing and overseeing the delivery of complex, bespoke, and secure IP cloud-based solutions to fulfil customer requirements for operation, maintenance and reliability of service. Our systems are changing the way people view transport systems and allows us to provide our clients with individualised, scalable solutions.
Typically, a project involves integration of on-street equipment including detectors, cameras, traffic controls, pollution sensors, and variable message signs, to drive strategic traffic network decisions within our cloud-hosted products and services. We continue to evolve our market leading traffic system (Stratos) and develop next generation products into a secure and resilient environment.
Siemens are actively involved in new technology areas including 5G internet of things (IoT), network optimisation and autonomous connected vehicles.

As the successful candidate, you will be a motivated, autonomous innovator who has a passion for delivering change and improving the status quo, developing infrastructure design and implementation for the migration of city-wide traffic systems.
You will work in partnership with other suppliers across multiple technology markets to implement future technologies including electric vehicle infrastructure and connected vehicle products.
