Azure and Windows Virtual Desktop Administrator

Job Description

This team member will be part of a team who are responsible to manage demands fulfillment, products rollout and run operations of Cloud and Data Center (CDC) Centre of Excellence team of Siemens Healthineers (SHS). 
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and general overview of Cloud and On-premises IT architecture, Virtualization preferably Azure Windows Virtual Desktop, Performance troubleshooting, cloud governance, PowerShell scripting and automation, Azure AD and other core Azure components. He will engage closely with functional managers of Cloud and Data Center, Architects, Product Owners and Operations team to maintain the Existing WVD environment and build new based on customer requirement. 

Task and Responsibilities:
• Very good knowledge on VDI solutions, preferably Azure Windows Virtual Desktop.
• Performance troubleshooting related to VDI solution.
• Meets key performance indicators for VDI infrastructure, user experience, applications, storage, servers, and network components related to VDI, escalating outcomes appropriately.
• Good on PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Create and Maintain Golden Images. 
• Hands-on on Azure DevOps pipeline.
• Test OS and Application patches in non-prod environment, include the changes in Golden Image and rollout the new image to all environment. Follow Change request process.
• Execute Azure DevOps end-to-end pipeline to add new changes to the golden image. 
• Troubleshoot and fix any failures.
• Knowledge on VM Scale set. 
• Create and maintain GPOs and Registry settings.
• Troubleshoot issues reported by user(s) through ticket.
• Good knowledge on Azure Active Directory. User Access management through Azure AD.
• Good knowledge on Azure services like Virtual Machine, Storage account, Function App etc.
• Contributes to knowledge base for troubleshooting and maintaining the environment.
• Fix issues identified by Cybersecurity, Pentest and e-Discovery teams.
• Interact with end users to understand their requirements and translate it into to technical requirement. 
• Provide KT and guide team members.
• Good knowledge on Azure cloud.
• Windows OS Administration skills.
• Root cause and System log analysis skills.

• Overall 6+ years’ experience in Cloud Technologies and recent 2 years particularly in WVD
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
