Reports to:                  Head of EMEA Logistics

Location:                     Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Manufacturing, Chapel Lane – Swords, Co. Dublin           

Role & Function:       

Develops graphs, reports and presentations of project status; creates and presents quality dashboards; generates routine and ad hoc reports. To technically direct the production of performance measurement reports/scorecards and self-service BI dashboards to support and direct key business decisions across Business Services Group. To enrich business planning and business performance reviews with in-depth analytics, ensuring decisions and plans are evidence-based. Utilising best practices, ensure the consistent delivery of quality business information.  Analyse performance of EMEA Logistics.

Functional Expert will be effect EMEA spend and savings currently €60M and €3M respectively. Effects N.W.E , Germany ,  CEE , Middle East and Africa , S.W.E and EDC Transportation routes. Some tasks might also effect APAC region/projects.

Position Purpose:     

Basic purpose of the position.

q  Assist in determining operational objectives by studying business data; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.

q  Uses Advanced analytics skills to interpret data and develop coherent business plans to improve performance.

q  Prepare presentations to gain support for business improvement proposals.

q  Uses data mining and gathering techniques to combine and contracts data from different sources to give new light and new approaches to viewing business performance.

q  Prepare presentations to gain support for business improvement proposals.

q  Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.

q  Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.

q  Assess production and supply problems to determine economically efficient solutions.

q  Provide business analytical support for EMEA Logistics.

q  Review and analyse weekly data for trends, issues and additional opportunities for savings such as freight cost savings.

q  Review and analyse carrier performance.

q  Review and analyse business performance and develop improvement plans.

Key Requirements:  

q  QQI level 8 Degree Level Education

q  Business professional with 5+ years experience in Data/Business Analysis in a Logistics/Planning environment focused on business performance analysis.

q  Added advantage if experience of building and maintaining relational databases to be used to support detailed data analysis.

q  Proven experience of working with the complexity of information and ability to supply strong, coherent business recommendations as a result.

q  Advanced analytical and data-centric problem solving.

q  Strong organisational and project management skills with high attention to detail.

q  Proven ability to build strong networks and to develop key relationships both internally and externally.

q  Excellent communication skills with advanced written and presentation skills.

q  Advanced level in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint & MS Project.

q  Intermediate knowledge of SAP systems would be beneficial

q  An understanding of logical applications of data would be beneficial
