IT help desk technician candidates should have a mix of technical and customer service skills and be passionate about technology and helping people.

We’re looking for a competent IT Service Desk Tier 1 technician to provide remote/on-site support for employees and contractors at all sites of Siemens Ukraine. Serving as the first point of contact for colleagues seeking technical assistance an excellent Service Desk technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution.


  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Implementation and support of Corporate standards, policies and service in IT area
  • Tier 1 include support of PCs, printers, faxes, copiers, mobile devices (iOS, Android), IP phones, etc.
  • Install, configure and upgrade PC software and operating systems
  • Implementation and support Corporate InfoSec policies in IT area
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Train end-users on setup and use new technologies
  • Preparing user manuals
  • Maintain technical documentation and service catalog on installation of software, configuration of hardware and problem troubleshooting
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on IT process management
  • Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms
  • Redirect unresolved issues to the next level of support
  • Other dut+C11:AF24ies might be added and/or assigned if needed

Experience and Education:

  • Proven experience as a service desk technician or other customer support role for 1 year
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-oriented and cool tempered
  • BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
