What part will you play?
  • As Global Commodity Manager (f/m/d) for the Commodity Plastic Parts/Resins, you are responsible for a purchasing volume of € 27 million at Factory Automation
  • You coordinate the commodity across all DI FA locations and lead a global team of purchasing and cross-functional contributors
  • In addition, as a PuC member for Plastic Parts & Resins, you represent the interests of Factory Automation in the global pooling organization and take over the 2nd tier management of the required plastic granules
  • In addition, you head functional material strategy teams in our Lead-factory at the Amberg site
  • You aim to achieve optimal purchasing conditions and productivity through close cooperation and targeted activities to maximize the benefits for our operational business, including material availability in accordance with the required quality
  • You define and implement a cross-functional coordinated material field and pooling strategy as well as negotiation strategies for contracts and purchasing conditions
  • You systematically forward all procurement-relevant project information (e.g. updated contract conditions, supplier management data) in order to keep functional stakeholders up to date
  • The identification of the respective procurement risks/opportunities and market developments to avoid potential damage / to exploit potential opportunities through proactive risk management is also part of your everyday work
  • You drive supplier management, focusing on supplier development to attract, develop and ensure optimal supply chains for the best supply chain

What you need to make real what matters.
  • The basis of your success is a completed technical or economic degree, in which you have specialized in the areas of SCM, purchasing or logistics in the best case
  • You convince with many years of relevant professional experience, e.g. in quality management, logistics or strategic purchasing and have already gained experience in the mechanics environment
  • You look forward to contribute your experience with procurement tools and pooling methods as well as your project management skills to us
  • You can prove your negotiation skills through communication and presentation skills
  • You are used to work in a global, intercultural and cross-functional team and are fluent in German and English
  • You are not afraid to take new paths to achieve your goals and are willing to use modern approaches to find solutions
