Your tasks and responsibilities:

A strategically orientated professional that can clearly identify the market needs within complex customer accounts through networking and relationships and align the company to provide total solutions for long term partnerships.

Strategy

  • Supports Top Management Consulting in Strategic Development of the Laboratory Diagnostics market with the support from product managers
  • Identifies consulting needs and opportunities and develops respective proposals (e.g. Portfolio Analyses, Benchmarking, White Spot Analyses, Organizational setup)
  • Plans, prepares and manages respective consulting assignments, in cooperation with the client
  • Gives strategic, operational and organizational recommendations for the future development of the respective unit
  • Enhances internal methodologies and knowledge of the respective industry and transfer of knowledge to client members

Vertical Sales Consulting

  • Supports planning and implementation of business development plans related to an industry / vertical market
  • Analyses strategic trends and developments in the industry / vertical markets as a subject matter expert, from all perspectives, i.e. commercially (markets, trends, competitors, offerings, etc.) and technically (products, methodologies, processes, tools, etc.)
  • Globally gathers best-practice examples from the assigned industry / vertical market; analyzes and evaluates solutions realized in this market with respect to their benchmark potential
  • Completes studies, concepts and proposals, which support both sales organization and customers
  • Builds and maintains a stable network relationship to Management and Experts in the market and supports sales and customers as an industry expert, for the assigned unit.Plans and assigns consulting assignments to industry partners on technical and commercial level
  • May initiate establishment of expert teams and facilitates team activities
  • May support sales organization in contract negotiations at all stages with information and analyses.

Your qualifications:

  • B Tech Degree
  • MBA is an advantage
  • Additional Financial Qualification advantage
  • Lean Six Sigma is an advantage
  • Negotiation skills

Your Experience:

  • Must understand laboratory workflow in all departments
  • Good IT knowledge. Understanding of integrated middleware and LIS
  • Broad range of experience of the Laboratory Diagnostics market
  • Understand the difference between public and private market in Laboratory Diagnostics
  • Preferably has experience in the customer service department
  • Understand regulatory process and requirement (established relationship would be a plus)
  • Experience in SADC business
  • Automation and Clinical laboratory understanding and knowledge
  • 5-8 years experience
  • Deep professional know-how and experience. Transfers and applies know-how to / in various contexts
  • Solid professional judgement and problem-solving competence
  • Improves existing processes and approaches
  • Proactively shares knowledge within own team (incl. virtual & matrix team)
  • A high influencer that needs advanced management understanding to lead and align employees in different workflows and / or projects organisation environment
  • Planning and managing results and performance is essential
  • Strategic business and marketing planning
