Siemens Large Drives Business Unit is looking for a Drafter for our Applications Engineering Department. In this role you will work closely with engineers to use 3D models to create outline drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, test plans and O&M manuals for the customer.Responsibilities:
Execute customized production orders under minimum supervision, utilizing product design guides and guidelines, industry standards and best engineering practices.
Provide drafting support to engineers on customized production orders. This includes the creation or modification of customer and production documentation. Design new components, modify electrical drawings, and incorporate engineering or customer redlines.Additional Duties:
Attend design reviews to resolve technical and programmatic issues.
Provide support to suppliers with questions on parts.
Support Continuous Improvement projects within Siemens.Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
Education: relevant Associates Degree or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years of industrial experience.
Proficient in the use of CAD software. AutoCAD and NX experience are preferred, but experience with other CAD 2D and 3D drawing software packages is acceptable.
Ability to read electrical schematics.
Strong organization and excellent time leadership skills.
Possess a familiarity with and follow all engineering policies and procedures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external contacts.

General knowledge of industrial controls or power conversion equipment, or experience in a drafting role for a large electrical equipment manufacturer.
TeamCenter and SAP experience preferred.
