Position Overview

The Vice President, Finance will lead the CRM Controlling group for Point-of-Care Diagnostics (POC). The selected candidate will partner with POC’s Head of Sales, our POC Regional Heads and FI Heads as well as with HQ functions, such as PLM, SCM and our franchises and central functions such as Sales Ops. The POC CRM Controlling group provides support to Region FI for FC, reporting, planning, deal escalation. It also provides one source of information for various functional organizations. The position involves a high level of engagement with the Head of POC and the Head of Finance for POC as well as other Management Team members. This position reports to the Head of POC Finance.


·        Responsible for the POC CRM Controlling group for reporting, analysis, planning, process implementation, management presentation.

§  Coordination/ownership of MTA/MBR: POC governance, coordination with Region FI & Zone controllers, POC franchises, sets reporting requirements in PATH (volume, product line revenue, market share), Esprit reporting, organization of Zone review, Coordination/creation of Budget review presentations, Target setting Region

§  Ownership of FC process: coordination with Region FI, POC franchises & Zone Controllers: Organization/preparation of FC calls and associated documentation, BA commentary process, Responsible for final BA roll-up including management adjustments, risk & opportunity assessments

§  Pricing: DXCon governance, Sets VCAI and floor prices for Zones together with MSC SO, sets thresholds for approval, reviews and works deal escalation with approval decisions from a global perspective, monitors and manages deal analytics & reporting, Deal Limits of Authority (LoA) process: LoA coordinators, ownership of DX specific escalation criteria, monitoring of compliance and central documentation, supports and attends all LoA calls

§  Actual reporting & analysis: Overall coordination with Region FI, Zone controllers, other finance functions, report provider for interfaces incl Team space ownership and content, POC BL reporting requirements (Flash, Actuals, FC, billing days), Coordination with BPC Reporting team, POC MT, QOR, other management review presentations, CRM margin analysis

§  OEM Actuals, FC, Budget: Review expectations and drive improvements with Business Lead

§  S&OP activities including new Instrument & Test volume processes and Dexter tool improvements (Coordination of Zone Test Volume process with Zone & POC franchises, ownership of reagent tool, consolidation, leads discussion with SCM)

§  Setting of TP & Base Cost, modeling, exception process, improvement measures, reporting

§  Reporting platforms: responsible for efficient distribution of information, reports and analytic tools (e.g. Teams, Assay Performance Dashboard, Dexter, DAD), ABC CRM project lead

§  Implementation and ongoing monitoring/improvement of OE topics

§  CS coordination & alignment

§  ownership of STC margin controlling by product line

§  Business partner to Head of Sales and Head of Sales Operations

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

§  Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field preferred

§  10 years’ experience in Controlling

§  Leadership & managerial experience is required

§  Required amount of travel: 10%

§  Advance knowledge of MS Office Applications and automation tools such as PowerBI, QlikSense

§  Experience in sales or CRM controlling
