Product Portfolio Management Professional

The role of the Product Portfolio Management Professional AE (Acridinium Ester) Design & Supply Management is to support or manage the established product(s), solution(s) and/or service(s) assigned with full responsibility for the results, including definition of their customer and market requirements, growth & profit strategies, business planning, and road mapping.  Constantly observes relevant competitors' product(s), solution(s) and/or service(s).  Defines product marketing strategies (product/solution/service, price, placement, promotion).  Establishes and manages or synchronizes a cross functional team to realize the development goals of the product(s), solution(s) and/or service(s) assigned.  They will oversee several complex assay design change projects and improvement initiatives for AE assays. Drives the business performance of the product(s), solution(s) and/or service(s) assigned over the whole product lifecycle in cooperation with all partners over the whole process chain (PLM / SCM / CRM).

Product Portfolio Management Professional will be responsible for a strong, effective, and efficient interface between all Product and Portfolio Managers and the assay manufacturing / supply chain management organization. They will interact daily with assay manufacturing to assess supply risks to assess overall customer impact. They will communicate with other Product Portfolio Managers to make them aware of potential supply disruptions and the likely path to recovery.

The Product Portfolio Management Professional reports to the Sr Director of Product Portfolio Management. The individual interacts with all members of the Marketing and Sales Organization to achieve the objectives of the responsible products. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for successful interaction with members of all Business Area functions to achieve objectives.

Specific Tasks:

·       Represent PPM at the daily AE (Acridinium Ester) Production Board meeting

  • Overall product manager for AE business critical projects and workflow excellence projects
  • Lead the AE System PHT
  • In collaboration with global marketing Identify and compile competitive assay intelligence for AE ID and Acute disease states
