New England region Sales Manager – Energy Performance & Services

The New England region Sales Manager position for the EPS organization is a field-travel based position with the overall responsibility to lead and manage the EPS sales organization across the New England which includes the states of which includes the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.  Primary responsibilities for the position are to drive commitment and accountability across the Pacific region sales teams to achieve / exceed sales goals.  The New England region Sales Manager reports directly to Head of EPS Zone for the Siemens RSS America’s organization.

Responsibilities:

The New England region Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring the success of business goals for the region sales organization.  This is achieved by managing the regional sales teams in the development and implementation of direct and indirect sales strategy, understanding of customer’s needs and creation of a value proposition to the customer.  This position is responsible for managing performance of the sales force and ensuring all direct sales employees are appropriately trained and competent in positioning and selling EPS solutions, products and services.

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:

  • In depth knowledge of the Siemens EPS value proposition and it’s application in target vertical markets which include, but not limited to: commercial and industrial, healthcare, higher education, state and local government, and the public and private K-12 school market.
  • Proven leadership capabilities to inspire and lead an organization with a track record for establishing growth and development of sales personnel that drives sales across the full range of the solution and services portfolio.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing sales employees.
  • Ability to develop short term (3-6months) and long-term (2-3 years) strategic sales plans.
  • Ability to develop and implement direct and indirect sales organizational structures and sales plans.
  • Strong business and financial acumen; ability to manage contracts and solutions as a win-win for both customers and Siemens.
  • Industry knowledge of the ESCO and Distributed Energy markets, its trends and key financial and organizational influences that support customer investment decisions.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and how to tailor Siemens EPS solutions and services to support customer decision making capabilities.
  • Strong people management and people development capabilities (i.e., holding people accountable and player-coach).
  • Ability to manage and lead change
  • Ability to collaborate with other Siemens Smart Infrastructure Zones and branch management and personnel.
  • Management of sales activity and tracking of key sales (Funnel management, sales process, coverage of critical accounts, compliance topics, etc.).
  • Experience with CRM tools, booking process, and sales productivity management tools.
  • Proven ability to acclimate to a variety of IT tools (i.e., SAP, PMCT, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Siemens Financing solutions with ability to match financing programs with customer goals and objectives.
  • Ability to balance the needs of the customer with the financial goals of the company.
  • Proven track record in a solution-selling environment.
  • Able to travel and be in the field with sales teams and customers 60% or more as needed.

Preferred Knowledge/ skills Education and Experience

5-10 years in complex sales environments.

5 years managing sales employees

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business or related field.

This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption
