Who are your People? What Organizations will you support? Where will you work?

As the People & Organization Partner for our Electrical Products NA business segment, you will partner with operations, manufacturing and finance functional leaders as well as the leadership teams in our Pomona, CA and La Miranda, CA manufacturing sites. You will also demonstrate your leadership and collaboration skills as the Team Lead of our highly engaged, impact-driven team of P&O Business Partners that support our manufacturing and logistics sites across the US. At Siemens, we embrace a hybrid work environment and all locations will be considered. You will report to the People & Organization Partner Lead for Electrical Products NA.

Strategic Consulting | Business Strategy
  • In depth understanding of all areas of the business, interrelationships, and external marketplace to inform human capital impacts and implications.
  • Leverage business understanding to connect leadership and organization approaches with the broader Siemens ecosystem, applying thought leadership, analysis of people/culture impacts, and persuasive recommendations.
Strategic Consulting | People Strategy

As an active member of the functional and site leadership teams, you consult with leaders to identify people and cultural priorities that will best achieve desired business results.

  • Apply knowledge of organizational development practices and organizational effectiveness principles towards aligning business and people strategies to drive better business outcomes.
  • Interpret data, identify trends/themes, and present trends to senior leadership. Work with key partners to identify root source of issues, develop persuasive recommendations, outline suggested action, and influence to drive action.
  • Drive strategic workforce planning to ensure availability of skilled talent to meet future business requirements; in conjunction with business, identify needs and make recommendations.
  • Conduct annual wage analysis and prepare hourly wage proposal to attract and retain our people.
Coaching and Culture
  • Challenge leaders to think through people implications of business decisions and reinforce importance of people culture initiatives, helping them become more effective leaders and role models for their people.
  • Coach and enable local business to develop a diverse, robust talent pipeline considering innovative and progressive options.
  • Resolve routine operational issues and engage the Employee Relations team on more complex issues and investigations.
Change Management
  • Be a change leader; identify the need for and lead change efforts, directing adaptation of organizations to new or changing structures, thinking/behavioral initiatives, or business processes.
Education and Experience
  • Associate degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 7 plus years of human resources generalist experience demonstrating a solid understanding of multiple subject areas including employee relations, performance management, and management consultation.
  • Manufacturing or distribution environment experience with hourly teams in a multi-shift operation – required.
  • Experience working in a union environment – required.
  • Balances multiple projects or tasks while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal communication (written and oral) and coaching skills for clarity, persuasion, and influence.
  • Flexible, self-directed, and able to interact effectively with individuals/teams at all levels.
  • This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless you are granted a medical or religious exemption.
  • 10% domestic travel associated with this position (post-COVID)
  • Experience with contract negotiations – preferred.
  • Project Management certification/experience – preferred.
  • Change Management and/or Executive Coaching certification – preferred.
