People & Organization (HR) Partner, Smart Infrastructure

Job Description

Position Overview

At Siemens, we have shifted from ‘employing human resources’ to ‘empowering our PEOPLE and ORGANIZATION’ and because language drives mindset, our ‘HR Business Partners’ are People & Organization Business Partners (P&O BPs). These strategic and trusted advisors show up each day as coaches and consultants offering recommendations, making decisions, and executing towards goals with a culture first lens and a growth mindset. By influencing leadership within their assigned customer groups to take actions on emerging people topics, they translate business requirements into human capital imperatives and utilize the full value chain of P&O to derive relevant solutions to meet the evolving needs of the business. P&O Business Partners play a key role in orchestrating and facilitating changes to organizational culture, design, and structure.

Pulse check: Does this sound like you? Are you inspired and ready to be welcomed to BE your authentic self each day AND do work that matters?

A successful candidate would be…

  • A trusted advisor and coach to leaders. You are a strong listener with a confident, informed, and equal voice helping leaders gain self-awareness, clarify goals, inspire their teams with vision, and view business decisions through the lens of people impact.
  • Provocative and innovative. You ask, “What if?” and “Why not?”, challenge the status quo, ground others in shared purpose, and seek opportunities to create new possibilities.
  • Resilient in the face of resistance. You see the possibility inherent in situations where there is ambiguity and change, focused on leadership, people, and culture as levers for progress.
  • Strategic and solution-focused. You seek opportunities to connect prioritized business problems with high-impact solutions, asking the ‘right’ questions and promoting/enabling quality decision making
  • An empathetic coach who elevates others. You seek first to understand, then to coach for growth, and challenge with questions instead of statements to help others develop their own insights. By maintaining an environment of professionalism and mutual respect you help others embrace their potential for growth and improvement.
