This position will be based out of Pangyo office in Korea and will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following. The successful candidate will be provided training at Siemens EDA office in Fremont, CA, US to support the emulation hardware equipment at Siemens EDA customer sites.

Job Responsibilities
  • Install & Support Siemens EDA Emulation hardware at customer sites
  • OS Installations and upgrades on emulation/comodel hosts
  • Emulation PCI card installation on emulator hosts
  • Follow support request process to track service requests
  • Run remote diagnostics where applicable to identify the problem
  • Travel to customer sites with spare hardware and replace failed boards
  • Jointly troubleshoot issues with colleagues as required
  • Run diagnostics post hardware replacement to validate normal operation
  • Send failure reports to Emulation hardware backend team
  • Communicate with customer on progress and status and pickup failed hub inventory and get back to Hub
  • Box and tag customer failed inventory and locate them in the customer designated failed section and advice customer
  • Follow support procedures, update time tracking systems, communication and reporting procedures as defined, and standard procedures when root cause of issues is not known, logging, escalating, and or communicating as required
  • Administer Spares Inventory, emulator spares inventory at HUB in Korea.
  • Track receipt, issue, and failure return.
  • Provide quarterly or on-demand inventory reports to the logistics team
  • Reduce turnaround time for failed boards to be shipped back to the factory for both hub and customer failed inventory
  • Advice customer on RMA process/procedure
  • Sync up with logistics team to support RMA procedures
  • Support shipment of failed Hub inventory back to the factory for repair in a timely manner adhering to the documentation requirements.
  • Regularly review spares stock of commonly used up spares and advice logistics/spares management team to replenish stock in a timely manner
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelors in electrical/electronics engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Electronic Systems, System Maintenance, and Debug Methodology
  • Experience with Linux OS - Experience with high-speed serial data technology and systems, exposure to Linux for installation, upgrades, and driver installations
  • Skilled in technical communication, analytical problem-solving skill, working in team environments, and working directly with customers
  • Ability to work in remote customer locations while communicating with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Must have exposure to Microsoft Windows and Office Tools
  • Must have the ability to follow technical directions, both in writing, and verbally
  • Must have a good working knowledge of English, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to communicate well with colleagues in other locations Must possess customer service skills.
  • Must have prior experience in the troubleshooting and repair of complex electronics hardware
  • Experience in the handling of electronics parts (proper grounding procedures, etc)
  • Physical strength, ability to move 70 pounds
  • Strong understanding of electronic HW circuits and their functional performance
  • Detailed technical analysis capability
  • Process-oriented thinking and experience in medium-large organizations with repeatable processes
  • Ability to understand how to run Manufacturing Test Software tools, and interpret results
  • Ability to generate and/or maintain test scripts and reporting tools
  • Experience in installing electronics boards into compute servers and running tests to verify functionality, and doing electronics firmware and OS updates.
  • Experience handling spares and managing spares and administering RMA procedures
