Job Description

On-site Project Superintendent must be capable of reading, writing, and conversing fluently in both English and Spanish. The Project Superintendent must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity. The Superintendent must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance. The Superintendent must be capable of interpreting a critical path schedule and construction drawings. The qualification requirements for the alternate superintendent are the same as for the project superintendent. The Contracting Officer may request proof of the superintendent's qualifications at any point in the project if the performance of the superintendent is in question.

What will be your role?
  •   Monitor  costs,  labor  time  and  materials.  Manage  schedules  and  ensure  all  activities  is  taking  place  on  schedule,  inspection  of  Contractor  and  Sub´s  operations  to  ensure  compliance with contract.  
  • Ensure all work is in  compliance with contract requirements. 
  • Reviewal of shop drawings for conformance with project  specifications. 
  • Verify and document that all materials received for the project are in conformance  with the approved submittals. 
  • Timely completion and collection of inspection reports. 
  • Prepare  weekly and monthly quality assurance reports. Inspect  field sites and identify any problems or  inaccuracies. 
  • Management of Asbuilt drawings. 
  • Conduct QC meetings 
In addition to the above experience requirements, the on-site Project Superintendent must have the course entitled "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" prior to the start of construction. This course is periodically offered at ROICC offices in Italy.The Project Superintendent shall mean the individual with the responsibility for quality and production.

  • 5 years experience as a Superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity with US Navy.
  • Construction Quality Management for Contractors. US Army Corps of Engineers #784 (USACE)
  • 40  hours  EM‐385‐1  ‐1  Construction  Safety  Hazard  Awareness  for  Contractors.  –OSHAcademy Occupational Safety & Health Training.
  • English CEFR Level B2 upper
  • Environmental Engineering Course(Environmental Management System according to UNE‐EN ISO 14001‐2004)
